A. Fishman & Son believes in complete customer satisfaction. We take great pride in the quality and workmanship of our merchandise and are confident that upon receipt of your purchase, you will find it completely matches or exceeds your expectations. If, however, you decide to return your purchase, and subject to the conditions stated below, we will gladly refund, replace or exchange any unworn item within 30 days from the date of shipment.

Please note that special or custom jewelry items are not returnable, refundable or exchangeable. If possible, we will do our best to adjust any problem you may have with a custom made piece.

Return Policy/Refund Policy

Jewelry Stock Items: We will accept for return and cash refund (your purchase price less actual shipping expense as shown on your invoice) all jewelry items which are returned to us within 30 days of receipt by you (as shown by the carrier's records), if received by us in "new and unused" condition. Items showing obvious signs of wear or alteration by a jeweler other than A. Fishman & Son will not be accepted.

Special or Custom Jewelry Orders: All sales are final and no returns, refunds or exchanges will be accepted.

Loose Diamonds: 

(a) For sales made in our office where you have examined the diamond in person, all sales are final and no returns, refunds or exchanges will be accepted.

(b) For sales made where you have not examined the diamond in person in our office before the sale, we will accept for exchange or refund any loose diamond purchased from us within 30 days of receipt by you (as shown by the carrier's records) after our examination and confirmation that the diamond is in the same condition as sold, provided all accompanying original documentation and/or certificates are returned with the diamond. Loose diamonds must also be accompanied by the original laboratory grading report or a $150 charge will be assessed to replace the certificate.

Re: Shipping Expenses and Gemological Laboratory Expenses:  We will advise you prior to your decision to purchase what, if any, shipping or Gemological Expenses you are responsible for in the event of a return.  Shipping expenses are actual shipping and insurance costs we incur and are based on the value of the purchase. They may or may not have been charged to you on your purchase. Gemological Expenses are our actual cost for verification and inscription services and are based on the carat weight of the diamond.  Assuming the diamond was inscribed prior to purchase, there are no additional costs for new verification upon return.

To Return an Item

1. Obtain Return Authorization Code - Call A. Fishman & Son toll-free at 718-878-6759 to obtain your return authorization number.

2. Repackage the Item as Securely as Possible - Repack your item securely with the diamond certificate, if appropriate. Please ensure that the contents of the package are in their original condition and secure within the box. For your security, please do not indicate the contents of the package on the exterior of the box.

3. Ship the Package - Return the package to us by registered mail. Insure the package for the full purchase price. For security reasons, do not disclose the contents when insuring the package. A. Fishman & Son is not responsible for any loss or damage that occurs during shipping.
